Design Project Zero: A Wristed Development

Team Number: 47

Team Members: Avani Sharma, Sam Milicia, Ryan Miller

Carpal tunnel syndrome is usually described by patients to be a feeling that their "hand is falling asleep." Some patients may experience pain and have compromised usage of their hand.

Treatments of carpal tunnel syndrome involve either a wrist brace for minor cases or surgery for severe cases. Wrist braces are utilized to restrict wrist movement in order to prevent any further progression of carpal tunnel syndrome.

Design Project Zero required our team to build and design a prototype to treat carpal tunnel syndrome. The milestones, final deliverable, and log book for Design Project Zero have been posted below to document our team's journey to collaboratively incorporate our creativity and ideas to design and build a wrist brace from household items to effectively treat carpal tunnel syndrome.
